Coloring books are a thing of the past. Kids today aren’t as thrilled by a basic coloring book as children a generation ago. That is because these children have been spoiled by all the fantastic new methods of coloring using the computer or with fancy markers and pens. While you might get away with a coloring book and crayons for a long car trip, don’t expect your school age children to sit quietly at the table coloring pictures the old fashioned way – there is a something better around, and they know it.
While coloring pages may seem simple in the minds of parents and other adults these days, they are often the passport into a more creative style of play. Yes, your child will simply color the picture online, but by doing so, she is learning not only to stay inside the lines, but to balance color and texture and to simply use her imagination. If a coloring page for kids is the first step into a full-fledged imagination based entertainment package, it is unlikely many parents will find them simple for long.
Local Christian bookstores usually also have individual pages or reproducible coloring books from which you can make copies so that more than one child can color in the same story picture. This is particularly useful if you want to give your Sunday School students something to color while you are teaching the lesson.
Both of these coloring styles are a way for children to communicate valuable information to a parent. You may learn that the first little girl is careful and clean about everything she does and you may recognize a competitive spark in the second child.
Coloring pages is just like an adult wishes to travel the whole world. A child loves to experiment with a variety of colors on his favorite pictures. Parents possess an excellent resource of obtaining Disney pages i.e. Internet. You just need a printer to take out prints. Moreover offline resources are abundantly available like bookstores, libraries etc.
Coloring pages can also be a good way to make money if you are free landscape artist. If you can reproduce any character from cartoons or fairy tales, you can draw sketches of them and sell them, either online, either to a library store that can sell them and give you a part of the profit. You can also say that some people use the sketches as they are, black and white, without coloring them. The printable ones can also be used to make stickers and such.
